On Monday 7th August the 17th consecutive Armagh Summer School will take place with tutors Mark Wilkinson, Richard Poole, Lesley Poole, Sarah Lenton, Mark Bousie, Shaun Farrington, Stewart Baglin and Anthony Mann

The summer school is now an integral part of Foden's diary and continues to grow each year with over 100 musicians of various ages and abilities split into two bands (Sterling / Sovereign) conducted by Mark Bousie and Michael Fowles.

As always the Summer School will feature individual lessons, sectional and full rehearsals, a tutors treat concert, delegates concert, BBQ and end of course concert with guest soloist Mark Wilkinson.

Speaking about the forthcoming course Michael Fowles commented ' As always the Foden's tutors are once again looking forward to a musical and fun week with our friends from Ireland. A lot of though is put into the choice of music for both bands and this year we look forward to performing a new commission from Andrew Stevenson who is the Composer in residence of the Foden's Youth Band.'

The cost of the course is £50 and more information can be obtained from either ivorbob@hotmail.com or jastevenson@hotmail.com

Foden's have produced a promotional video advertising the course courtesy of a major award from Arts Council England through ‘Grants for the Arts’ for a “Three Year Strategic Music and Audience Development Plan 2016-2019”.

For any conductor and every audience, Foden’s Band is a musical Magic Carpet. It continually takes the listener to places that few other ensembles rarely even approach Howard Snell
