In February Foden's accompanied Eight previously shortlisted musicians at BBC Media City

Following the Semi Final recordings the four shortlisted soloists have now been announced who will take part in the final of the BBC Radio 2 Young Brass Award 2017 competition.

Trombonists Isabel Daws and Ellena Newton, cornetist James Nash and tenor horn player Siobhan Bates were selected by judges Helen Vollam and David Childs.

The final will be broadcast live on Radio 2 from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on Friday April 21st, presented by Clare Freeman and Listen to the Band's Frank Renton.

The four players will perform alongside Foden's Band who will give a short concert of their own as the judges decide who should take the coveted title.
