Restoration Appeal Concert

On the 12th November Foden's will appear in concert with the Foden's Youth Band at Sandbach School, Crewe Road, Sandbach, CW11 3NS at 7.30pm with admission via pay on the door

Both bands will perform individual sets before combining for a massed performance of 'Tales of Myths and Legends'

'Tales of Myths and Legends' was composed

for both bands by Andrew Stevenson and takes inspiration from myths and legends of Cheshire. Each of its four movements tells a different tale of Cheshire's rich history, which boasts stories of dragons, wizards, mermaids and much more.

All proceeds from the concert will go towards the bands 'Restoration Appeal' to cover costs to restore items of historical value following the tragic bandroom fire in April (sadly these costs are not covered via Insurance)

Foden's are heavily involved in Youth Education and as a way to hopefully encourage and inspire the next generation of musician / audience member Foden's are offering free entrance to those under the age of 18 providing they are accompanied by a paying responsible adult.

Speaking about the forthcoming event Mark Wilkinson commented 'We are inviting people to attend the concert to support our appeal as well as our fantastic Youth Band. Since the fire we have been helped by numerous organisations, bands and individuals who have been invited to the concert so that we can publically thank them for their help and support in what has been an incredibly stressful and unsettling period from the band. Things are now getting back to normal with a new band room, equipment, music and uniforms and we now focus our attention towards the restoration side of our re building process.'

For any conductor and every audience, Foden’s Band is a musical Magic Carpet. It continually takes the listener to places that few other ensembles rarely even approach Howard Snell
