On the 15th July Foden's will make a welcome return to the Isle of Man to perform in the Villa Marina to raise funds for the Manx National Youth Band.

As well as the chance to listen to a varied programme and world class soloists, members of the multi award-winning band will host a workshop for Island brass players earlier in the day. 'It's a fantastic opportunity and one that doesn't come along too often,' said Youth Band chairman Ian Mansell 'Local brass players of all ages... from across the Island are more than welcome to attend from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at the Villa and players are asked to register in advance via myb@manx.net  We very much hope as many people as possible take up this opportunity to come and hear one of the world's finest brass bands.'

Speaking about the forthcoming trip Mark Wilkinson commented 'We are looking forward to providing a workshop and concert in the Isle of Man. The band have performed on a number of occasions on the Island and have built up a close friendship with members of the Manx Concert Brass over the years.'

The gala night in the Royal Hall starts at 8pm.

The event is supported by the Steam Packet and IOM Arts Council, tickets are now on sale from the box office on 600555, villagaiety.com or the Welcome Centre.

For any conductor and every audience, Foden’s Band is a musical Magic Carpet. It continually takes the listener to places that few other ensembles rarely even approach Howard Snell
