IMG 0115Foden's Band have announced that a fundraising campaign has been launched in order to assist with the restoration of historical artefacts and the heritage of the band. On 17th April 2016 a fire destroyed the home of Foden’s Band. The Bandroom, situated in Elworth had been the home of the band since 1993. The fire has devastated a bandroom which contained historical artefacts, a music library of over 3500 pieces and many of the band’s musical instruments as well as their famous red jackets.

Following a significant and lengthy investigation by Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service and Cheshire Police, it has been deduced that the cause of the blaze is believed to be electrical and started accidentally.

It is hoped that the funds will enable the band to enlist the help of experts in restoration of historical artefacts and manuscripts, many of which date back to the formation of the band.
