Fodens Courtois are
the winners of the 1999 Boosey & Hawkes National Brass Band
Championships which took place at the Royal Albert Hall, London
on Saturday 16th October. The band were awarded 1st place with 197
points off draw number 5. This was the band's first win at the Nationals
for over 40 years and a great boost for next years centennial celebrations!
This years
test piece was "Concerto No.1 for Brass Band" by Derek Borgeois.
Adjudicators for
the contest were William Relton, David Read & Goff Richards.
