Another cd award for Fodens

Following on from the recent announcement that 'Maestro' had been awarded the title of 'Brass Band World cd of the Year 2009' Fodens are pleased to announce that 'Maestro' has now been awarded the title of 'British Bandsman cd of the Year 2009' with 'Rococo Variations' being the runner up.

Fodens tutor in the North East

On Sunday 25th October members of the Fodens Band led a very well received 'Band in a Day' training course as guests of Trimdon Concert Brass. Organised and funded by the Northern Regional Brass Band Trust, the day was headed by Mark Bousie, newly appointed to the Fodens euphonium section.

Fodens end the contest year with a victory at 'Brass in Concert'

On the 15th November Fodens band became the 'Brass in Concert Champions' which was held at the 'Sage' concert hall in Gateshead. The contest featured 12 of the countries leading brass bands including the current American entertainment champions 'Fountain City Brass.' Entry to the contest is by invitation.

Bousie joins Fodens

Foden's announce the signing of Mark Bousie on 2nd Euphonium. The former principal euphonium of Sellers International and more recently Faireys, was last heard on impressive form helping Rothwell Temperance into a well deserved fourth place at the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall.
