Exciting programme for Brass Festival at RNCM

Fodens have announced their exciting programme for the forthcoming Festival Of Brass at the Royal Northern College Of Music in Manchester on the 31st January 2009.
 
The Festival Of Brass is seen as one of the leading concert series in the brass band repertoire that features a number of the countries best bands who are invited to participate in the concert series.
 
Fodens will feature two new commissions written especially for this event by two of the banding movements leading composers Peter Meechan and Andy Scott (the composer in residence at Fodens).

Part 1
Vinter : Variations on a ninth
Meechan: Apophenia (new world premier) featuring trumpet player Rex Richardson
Andy Scott: New world premier

Part 2
Broughton: Masters of Space and Time
Tovey: Nine Daies Wonder  (violin concerto with band)
Wilby: Paganini Variations
