Fodens at the Bridgewater Hall

On September 10th Fodens appeared in the prestigious 'Northern Arts Festival' at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester conducted by Russel Gray alongside Black Dyke and Brighouse and Rastrick.

British Open 2011

On Saturday Fodens competed at the 'British Open Championships' held at the Symphony Hall Birmingham against 16 of the 'best' bands in the United Kingdom. Each band performed the set test piece 'Red Priest' composed originally for the Black Dyke Band in 2009 by Philip Wilby.

Fodens welcome a new 'Partner'

Fodens Band are pleased to announce that 'Bremners sshhmutes' have become a 'partner' of the band. The British Open test piece 'Red Priest' calls for a number of sections of the band to play with 'Practice Mutes' and due to this Fodens will play on the cornet sshhmutes at the contest.

Fodens raise the roof

Foden’s Band on the 3rd June gave a concert in recognition of the partnership it shares with Sandbach Town Council. This year’s concert venue was decided by the council with the aim of raising funds for the roof of nearby church, St.Mary’s.

Englsih Nationals Results

On the 25th June Foden's band competed at the 'English Nationals Brass Band Championship' a week after winning the 'Tameside Whit Friday March Contest' for the 9th time in 10 years. The contest is by invitation only where the Highest 10 ranked bands in England are invited to compete against...
