Fodens are the 2013 Whit Friday Champions

From the first Whit Friday Marches in 1884, the event has grown in popularity. This year over a hundred brass bands participated in some twenty different contests at venues scattered around the areas of Tameside and Saddleworth.

Busy time ahead

On the 12th May Foden's will travel to Norwich where they will perform a gala concert at the St Andrews Hall commencing at 6.30pm following the EABBA contest which will be adjudicated by Glyn Williams. The 18th May sees the band in concert at Turner Sims, Southampton University commencing at 7.30pm.

Fodens 'runner up' at the North West Area

On Sunday 10th March Fodens competed at the North West Area contest held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. This contest is the qualification for the 'National Finals' held at the Royal Albert Hall, London in October with the top 2 bands qualifying.
