Last weekend Foden's provided a concert as guest of the Uttoxeter Band to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Prior to the concert Mark Wilkinson provided a free master class covering the various basics of brass playing whilst Mark Bousie provided a Youth workshop to keen delegates.

The following day Foden's recorded a number of 'substantial' works to complete a CD which will be released at the Nationals. This is the first CD of substantial pieces that the band have completed for a number of years and hope it will provide strong representation to be considered for a CD of the year award, fingers crossed!!!

The band have now commenced a well earned Summer break and will return on the 23th August prior to the arrival of Bramwell Tovey who will conduct the band at the British Open.

Thank you to all for your support (and donations) since the devastating fire. We have continued with a glass half full mentality that has seen us over a number of difficult months where we have been at the mercy of numerous band and individuals who have helped provide rehearsal venues, percussion instruments, music and general support. Without this help we would not have been able to continue as we have done and we thank everyone who has helped in any way.

The 'Just giving campaign' is still active (link below) with all donations going towards our restoration appeal which sadly is not covered under our Insurance policy.

For any conductor and every audience, Foden’s Band is a musical Magic Carpet. It continually takes the listener to places that few other ensembles rarely even approach Howard Snell
