Fodens to be featured on Radio 3 this Friday

On Friday 30th November a group of players from Fodens have been invited to perform on the radio 3 programme 'In Tune'. 'In Tune' is a popular arts programme with a listening audience of around 2 million viewers per programme.

Foden’s Band Solo, Duet and Quartet Contest 2012

November 3rd saw the second year of the Foden’s Solo, Duet and Quartet Contest at Sandbach School. Although only one year on, this “new” initiative has grown into probably the largest contest in the country with 180 players of varying ages descending on the Foden’s Band’s home soil.

Fodens are Double Champions!!!

On Saturday 20th October at The Royal Albert Hall in London, the National Brass Band Championships were held which featured the top 20 brass bands from around the UK. The chosen test piece was a fiendishly difficult arrangement by Howard Snell of the Maurice Ravel's Daphnis and Chloe.

Fodens Principals tutor in Norwich

On Sunday 7th October 2012 the East Anglian Brass Band Association held its Annual Brass Training Day at St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich. Eighty-four delegates from the age of 11 upwards had enrolled on the course and were looking forward to benefiting from the tutors advice and expertise.
