The CD features the runners up performances from the National Brass Band Championships of 'Albion' by Jan Van der Roost (2001), 'Music for Battle Creek' by Philip Sparke (2007), 'Concerto No.1 for Brass Band' by Kenneth Downie (2008) and the stunning rendition of 'The Torchbearer' by Peter Graham (2009). The most requested track on this download only CD is the winning performance of Wilfred Heaton's 'Contest Music' from the 2004 British Open Brass Band Championships. A performance that was delivered with stunning clarity and full of musicality is a must for any brass band fan.
