Liz began playing percussion at the age of 12 (1998), after just a few months she joined her local bands - St.Helens Youth and Rainford Silver.

In 2002 she joined Besses o'th' Barn Band and also became a member of the national youth brass band where she went on to attend 8 courses (4 as principal percussionist). In 2003 she joined Leyland Band then transferred to Fodens in summer 2005. Liz is currently studying percussion at the Royal Northern College of Music and teaches the young percussionists from the St.Helens Youth Band.
