Many Thanks to Mike and his enthusiastic team who spent a week in Armagh teaching and motivating many of Ireland's young ( and a few not so young ) Brass Band enthusiats. I always knew the Fodens players were very talened musicians but I was impressed by their teaching skills and infectious enthusiasm. What an enjoyable week ! I shall always be proud to say I sat beside Lesley Howie playing the same Solo horn part. |

I have been a band supporter for 13 years now and am proud to say I'm friends with Glyn Williams. I play euphonium and have done for 52 years having a good career in the army in a Guards band. I am Principal Euphonium with the Royal British Legion Band, Little Common at Bexhill-on-Sea and I love it just as much as I did at school all them years ago. I have been struck down with arthritis and am in a wheelchair these days but, it will never stop me playing.
It would be nice to see you in Concert down this way some time.
My kindest Regards to Glyn,Helen and all the band.

I have just been to the concert today (3rd July) at Sandbach Church, and it was absolutely brilliant! My first Fodens concert, I bought tickets as a treat for my mum and "tagged along", but I was blown away by the experience. What a fantastic standard of musicianship from all of you, world class. Thanks so much, all the best. |

Dear Sir, I have recently discovered an old record (45rpm) made in 1959 entitled, Foden\'s Motor Works Band. Side 1 (Devon Fantasy) Moorland Song, At The Fair, Quiet Village. Side 2,Devon Fantasy, Merry Macdoon, Overture. It still plays pretty well, would this be of any interest to you or perhaps an affiliated club? Yours Sincerely, Chris Jackson. chrisjpjackson@hotmail.com |

Just a note to say how much my wife and I enjoyed your concert in Limoux. It was wonderful.
Pity we didn't have even a basic prog to remind us of a truly memorable evening.
I really did enjoy yhe 'Macbeth' piece.
Best wishes and continued success. Come again, perhaps to the Carcassonne summer music festival and play outdoors in the castle.
Richard and Dorothy Vaughton
PS We have an old - brass playing - friend Richard Milton, who some of you may have come across. |

Can you let me know if the Grandfather's Clock arrangment on the 2008 Armagh performance with Glyn Williams as shown on YouTube is available for borrowing, or purchase? |

My Great Uncle Joe Moores was with Fodens for many years and I know still remembered by many. I have fond memories of seeing the band at various venues including the Phil at Liverpool as a child. I think the most exciting time for a young child was when we were given a lift on the Band coach after a concert - Happy Days! Will be there at The Bridgewater in May when I hope to meet with James Charles, a very dear man. |

What a long road Fodens has travelled since my Grandfather (Jim Davies - Cornet) and some of his friends founded the Fodens Motor Works in Elworth.
Thanks for the website and information which enables me to follow the band from a distance.
With very best wishes
