On the 30th January Fodens accompanied a number of young soloists at the BBC Manchester who had reached the 'Semi Finals' of the 'BBC Radio Young Musician of the Year'

Six soloists were accompanied by Fodens with copies of the recording being forward to a panel of judges who will choose four performers to appear in the 'Final' at the Royal Northern College on the 20th February.

In previous years the semi final stages have been recorded for transmission before an invited audience but this year it has all been done behind closed doors with Foden's and Michael Fowles accompanying the players during their performance of no more than ten minutes of music.

As expected, the standard of the young musicians was high and Fodens were delighted that they were chosen by the BBC to be involved in this prestigious event.
 

Highlights of the 'Semi Finals' will be broadcast on BBC radio on a later date
