Fodens band have been busy in the recording studio recently recording two new cd's for release in September

In February the band recorded a cd of music composed by Fodens 'Composer in Residence' Andy Scott featuring a number of his concert items, solos and recently commissioned works. Fodens will be performing a number of these pieces at the Bridgewater Hall on the 9th May.

Last weekend Fodens recorded a cd comprising of music by Philip Sparke. The cd features a number of test pieces performed at the European Championships over the past ten years including 'The Vikings', 'Sea Pictures' and 'Tallis Variations' as well as various overtures.

It is hoped that both cd's will be strong contenders for Cd's of the year

The band will return to the recording studio on the 5/6 June to record a number of concert pieces on the 'De Haske' label.
