Throughout its rich history Foden’s has been associated with some of the most talented composers and arrangers, building a reputation for performing new and innovative music.
Today, Foden’s have the privilege of working with Andy Scott, a talented musician who lives in Sandbach a recent winner of a prestigious British Composer Award, who has already composed a number of exciting pieces performed by Foden’s. Two of Andy’s pieces have been performed at the January Festival of Brass, the tuba concerto written for star Eflat bass player Les Neish “Salt of the Earth” and “A World Within” dedicated to Foden’s President, Peter Fletcher. Also Andy arranged a number of Stevie Wonder arrangements which have featured at many concerts such as the Brass in Concert contest and latterly with pupils from Sandbach School.
Could you help us compose the music of the future?
Fodens are working with Andy to commission new music and we are looking for a number of supporters willing to donate from £50 to help us commission new music. For your donation you would receive public acknowledgement of your support and the choice of complimentary tickets to the concert were your piece is first performed or a complimentary CD when your music is recorded.
If you would like to make a larger donation from £500, you can have your own influence on the music composed, with chance to meet Andy and discuss featuring your favourite soloist and perhaps even the title of the music.
