Foden's Band have recently forged strong relationships with two major
organisation in Cheshire. The first is with the band's local county
council, Cheshire East which covers an area that is  bounded by
Chester to the West, Manchester to the North and Stoke-on-Trent to the
South and is home to 360,700 inhabitants. Throughout the many
initiatives and network streams available through councillors and
council bodies it is expected that the band will be involved in many
new and exciting projects that will focus on music in schools.
Currently under discussion is a series of Masterclasses for 2010 and
an exciting schools competition featuring the band later this year.
This partnership with Cheshire East is additional to the Platinum
Sponsorship already secured with Sandbach Town Council earlier this
Vice Presidents
Since the beginning of the year the band has built upon its local ties
and secured the support of three distinguished businessmen to offer
support and guidence. Mr Peter Foden CBE, Mr Stephen Sebire MBE and Mr
Mark Greaves MIOD have accepted the post of Vice-Presidents of
Foden's. The latest VP, Mark Greaves, is Group Managing Director of

Whilst we are indebted to Mr Peter Fletcher, our President for his
continued support, the appointment of the vice-presidents will add
another dimension of the band's structure and we plan to honour these
positions throughout the year with a VP's dinner and concerts.

For any conductor and every audience, Foden’s Band is a musical Magic Carpet. It continually takes the listener to places that few other ensembles rarely even approach Howard Snell
