Soloists Concert

Posted by Mark Wilkinson on 21 August 2008

The Foden's band are once again taking time out of their busy schedule in an effort to put something back into the banding community.

Foden's stars Les Neish, Richard Poole, Mark Wilkinson, Glyn Williams and Mark Landon will be appearing as soloists with the Eagley next Sunday Night. The evening is a fundraising event given in order to help the Bolton based band in their quest to attend the National Finals which they qualified for earlier this year in Blackpool.

"We are really pleased to be helping out our North West colleagues in this way. Eagley have done fantastically well to qualify for the finals and we are delighted that the band have asked us for help in getting there. It looks to be great night and myself, along with all the other soloists, are looking forward to it immensely."

There will be another Foden's man taking part at the weekend as well. Gareth Westwood, a trombone player with the Foden's band, has been Eagley's Musical Director for 2 years and has been instrumental in organising this event.
"My thanks go out to all my Foden's colleagues for their help in this. These guys are some of the best in the business and their appearance at the concert next Sunday will make the evening very special indeed."

The event will be set in the picturesque setting of the Bolton Old Links Golf Club and is promised to be a night to remember. You can get details of the concert at the Eagley Bands website or by phoning 0773 199 6925.

Book early to avoid disappointment.
