On Thursday 29th November Foden's performed at Glossopdale School as part of commemorations to mark the centenary since the end of WW1

Prior to the concert, there was a Rededication Service as the War Memorial plaques, having hung in the old Glossop Site, were given a new location in the new school.

The first half of the concert featured pupils from Glossopdale before their wind band joined forces with Foden's for a massed performance of 'Letters from Home'

'Letters from Home' is a three movement work from the pen of Peter Meechan, commissioned by East Lancashire Concert Band with support from Arts Council England, to commemorate the role played in the war by the ‘Accrington Pals’. Before each movement a reading was made by Glossopdale pupils.

Foden's performed the 2nd half of the concert to a large audience. This concert was the first public performance in the new school theatre.
