Free masterclass with Mike Lovatt and Chris Houlding prior to concert on the 13th July with Foden's, Elland Youth and SuperBrass

On the 13th July Foden's will appear in concert at the George Lawton Hall, Mossley with Elland Youth (current British Open Youth Champions) and SuperBrass (who are a collective of some of the finest brass and percussion players currently working on the professional London music scene. The group comprises leading musicians such as Mike Lovatt, James Fountain, Roger Argente, Christian Jones, Chris Houlding etc who are drawn from all the different London Orchestras, Big Bands, West End shows plus leading educators and teachers)

Prior to the concert there will be a free masterclass led by Mike Lovatt and Chris Holding

Mike is the lead Trumpet with the BBC Big Band and John Wilson Orchestra and has appeared on numerous film tracks including James Bond films Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day, Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Chicago, Beyond the Sea, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Madagascar, and The Corpse Bride.

Chris was Principal Trombone of the Orchestra of Opera North for 27 years and has since appeared as Guest Principal with most major UK ensembles including the London Symphony, London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, Royal Opera House Covent Garden and London Brass.

Entry to the masterclass at 1pm is free with prior registration to Mark Wilkinson at marklwilky@hotmail.com where those attending will have to show a ticket for the concert to gain entrance.
