The oldest and most important artefact in our possession was the below which was feared destroyed. Luckily, it has been recovered and work will start to restore it so that it can be displayed for many more years to come.
During a concert at Sandbach Town Hall on the 17th September Foden's Band made a 'long Service award' presentation to librarian Granville Jennings.
We have recently come across footage of Foden's Band that you may find interesting via British Pathe taken in 1937 and 1938. At Foden's are very proud of our illustrious past and dedicate a regular feature in our Patrons Magazine.
As we think of those killed or injured in action today, we also think about Edwin Firth Principal Cornet with Foden's who was killed in action on the 1st June 1918 aged 29
