Review of the Armagh Old Boys Brass Band Summer School 2017
On Friday 14th July Darren Lea, Luke Pallister, Ryan O'Grady, Shaun Farrington, Gary Curtin and Jonny Bates travelled to the Isle of Man to lead a workshop with members of Manx Concert Brass and their Youth Band.
For the second year in succession, the burgeoning, combined forces of the Foden’s Band organisation performed a matinee springtime concert in the beautiful acoustic of Warrington’s grand Parr Hall to a large audience.

For me, a good disc has to fulfil certain criteria. The music has to interest me; the programme notes have to offer insight into the compositions, so that I learn something new, and there has to be a strong vision behind the purpose of the disc.
