Fodens Band are pleased to announce that their highly acclaimed cd release 'Masquerade' conducted by Howard Snell and Allan Withington has been announced as the 'British Bandsman cd of the year 2012'

This award comes on the back of the cd being awarded the same award from the 'Brass Band World' another well respected Brass Band magazine.
'Masquerade' was originally shortlisted for the award alongside releases from Black Dyke, Cory, Leyland and Brighouse and Rastrick but the respected panel of top musicians unanimously voted for the Fodens release due to the level of playing, recording quality and programme content.

Speaking about the award Fodens Chairman John Barber said 'The band are overjoyed at winning this prestigious award. Fodens take a lot of time in the planning of suitable repertoire for cd releases and already have a number of exciting cd plans for 2013'

For any conductor and every audience, Foden’s Band is a musical Magic Carpet. It continually takes the listener to places that few other ensembles rarely even approach Howard Snell
