Sandbach Transport Festival

On April 17th Foden’s Band were thrilled to perform for the third year running at the Nation-wide renowned Sandbach Transport Festival.

The band delighted the tens of thousands strong crowd with a short concert that featured musical and classical favourites in Sandbach’s historic market square.  This was undoubtedly entertainment to suit all tastes and ages.
In addition to the short concert, the band then proceeded to lead the parade of all different shapes and sizes of transport from various periods in history through the square to the delight of the many townsfolk who showed up to spectate.
Following this the band chose to perform a further concert in the square in aid of the Japanese Tsunami victims. As the crowds were sitting in local cafes, pubs and restaurants they were delighted to hear the band strike up once more and this proved to be a fantastic fund raising opportunity, with all proceeds going directly to the British Red Cross.
In all it was a wonderful day for music, transport and the people of Sandbach and its surrounding areas to delight in a day packed with culture.
