Armagh Old Boys Brass Band Summer School Online with Foden's tutors

For the past 19 years tutors from Foden's have travelled to Armagh, Northern Ireland to take part in a week-long Brass Band summer school for players of all ages and abilities. Due to the current pandemic, the course has been cancelled this year, but in true Foden's spirit, that's not going to stop the tutors making something happen!

After many weeks of planning and zoom meetings it has been confirmed that the summer school will take place online on Saturday 22nd August at a cost of £15 per person.

The course is structured to allow interactive learning and performance opportunities with masterclasses focusing on practising, breathing, range, conducting, warm ups, composition, improvisation and a quiz. Tutors include Anthony Mann, Shaun Farrington, Mark Wilkinson, Gary Curtin, John Barber, Michael Fowles, Jonathan Bates, Mark Bousie, Richard Poole and Lesley Poole.

Following an initial application process sent to those who usually attend the course the online event has now been opened up to other players around the world.

How to apply for the course;

1) Register your interest by completing the google form - ( by 7pm on Sunday 16th August

2) If you have been successful with your application you will receive an email informing how to secure your place on the course with a £15 payment after this date.

3) Prior to the start of the course, participants will receive an information pack and zoom code/s for the day.
