Fodens performed at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester on the 8th May as part of the Northern Arts Brass Festival. The band was conducted by guest conductor Howard Snell and accompanied guest soloist Jens Lindemann.
Foden's have just returned from a weekend in France where they have been performing in the Limoux Festival. The festival has been running for 3 years and this year attracted over 10,000 spectators to various events and shows over the 5 day duration.
The death has occurred of Arthur Breeze, at the age of 71. He joined Fodens on second trombone in the late 1970s at a time when James Scott was rebuilding the band.
On Tuesday 29th at Flowcrete Offices in Elworth, Foden’s Band celebrated their recent success at the North West Area Brass Band Contest. The reason for the celebration was that Foden’s Band had achieved a record six consecutive wins at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens making a total of 18.
On April 17thFoden’s Band were thrilled to perform for the third year running at the Nation-wide renowned Sandbach Transport Festival.
