On Sunday 15th June Foden's held the finals of our '23 and under Composers Contest ' at the Royal Northern College of Music. A shortlist of 6 finalists were drawn up by 3 judges, Dr Peter Meechan, Philip Sparke and Miuchael Fowles.
On Friday 13th June 2014 Foden's made history by competing in all 11 Tameside Villages, receiving 1st prize at all 11.
Preparations are well underway for the annual Whit Friday Brass Band Contests. The competitions attract bands from all over the world to compete in this long standing tradition.
We are pleased to announce that the bands latest CD release 'We Meet Again' featuring compositions and arrangements by Howard Snell is now available for purchase via the bands online shop The band enjoyed preparing the material for the cd as well as being conducted by Howard.

On the 24th May Foden's performed a concert as part of the prestigious Bury St Edmunds Festival. The first half of the concert featured the World Premiere of a piece commissioned by Foden's from Andrew Duncan entitled 'Cantata'. We were pleased to have Andrew at the premiere which was well received by the audience.
