Following their recent victory at the 'Tameside Whit Friday' march contest the North West Area Champions have announced the signing of Andy Cattanach on Bflat Bass.

Andy originally joined Fodens from Kennedy's Swinton in 1991 where he stayed until 1993. Following his departure he spent time with Besses o'th Barn and a total of 13 years as both player and Chairman of Freckleton. Andy has also been a member of Faireys and joins from Brighouse and Rastrick.

Speaking about Foden's Andy commented 'I am looking forward to coming back to banding on my native side of the Pennines, and to re joining Foden's as well as being part of a number of high profile and exciting projects that the band are currently working on.'

Band Manager Mark Wilkinson commented ' We are extremely pleased to have secured the services of Andy who is highly regarded as one of the leading and most experienced exponents of his instrument. Andy will be a valuable addition to the team.'

For any conductor and every audience, Foden’s Band is a musical Magic Carpet. It continually takes the listener to places that few other ensembles rarely even approach Howard Snell
