On Thursday 29th November Glossopdale School, Glossop will hold a concert to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War featuring the 2018 National Brass Band Champions, Foden’s Band, and performances from Glossopdale students.

The first half will consist of performances from the school choir, dance and drama students and will conclude with a performance of Pete Meechan’s ‘Letters for Home’, featuring Foden's, Glossopdale School Wind Band and drama students.

The second half will be a programme of music suitable for the occasion, performed by Foden’s Band under the baton of Musical Director, Michael Fowles.

This will also be the first ever concert to take place in the theatre of the brand new Glossopdale School building.

Prior to the concert, at 6.30pm, there will be a Rededication Ceremony of the Memorial Plaques, which will now be relocated in the new school.
