Foden's Band are delighted to announce that 'Foden's Youth Band' are all set to begin a 4th academic year this weekend.
For the first time, the band will take part in a full weekend course to start the year. The sessions have been designed to introduce the players to the new repertoire for this term as well as giving plenty of opportunity for some team building. The weekend concludes with a free concert on Sunday 27th September 2:30pm at Sandbach Boys School which will also feature guests Lions Youth Brass and Macclesfield Youth Brass Band.

During the last academic year Foden's Youth Band continued to develop in many areas thanks to the incredible support received from Besson, Love Music Trust & RNCM. Over the past year the band commissioned new works, promoted concerts in new venues and even received its first ever set of stand banners.

Looking forward to a 4th season in September, founder and project co-ordinator Ian Raisbeck said 'as ever, the work never stops and we already have some exciting plans in place for the forthcoming months. In September the band will take part in their first ever 2 day course and in October they will record tracks for the next Foden's Band Patrons Choice CD. The inclusion of the Youth Band on the Foden's CD will be very special and something we've been looking forward to for a while. In 2016 there is already a high profile engagement booked - more details will be released soon. These details come hot on the heels of the recent launch of Foden's Junior Band which also starts this weekend. These are exciting times for the Foden's family.'

For any conductor and every audience, Foden’s Band is a musical Magic Carpet. It continually takes the listener to places that few other ensembles rarely even approach Howard Snell
