Fodens's Solo and Quartet Contest update

Foden's are delighted to announce further details of their annual Solo and Quartet contest to be held in Sandbach on the 2nd November which will be supported by Kapitol Promotions and Brass Band World. The Solo contest is a regular highlight in the bands busy calendar attracting over 120 competitors each year from this country and overseas.

This years contest will be adjudicated by Mike Lovatt, John Doyle and Mark Wilkinson who will oversee sixteen different categories which include slow melody, air varie, vintage, duet, ensemble and a parent and child class.

Foden's are also pleased to announce that they will partner the 'Association of Brass Band Adjudicators' in allowing one of their trainees to be mentored by Mark Wilkinson (current Chair of Aobba) and will also welcome a 'Youth Adjudicator' from Foden's Youth Band who will be mentored by Aobba member John Doyle.

Speaking about this years contest Andy Rolfe from Foden's commented 'We are extremely grateful to Kapitol Promotions and BBW for supporting this high profile event. Foden's and Kapitol Promotions are pleased to partner Aobba in this exciting initiative and look forward to welcoming a Youth Adjudicator to the largest event of its kind in the Country. We are extremely proud of our Youth Outreach work and delighted that this years adjudicator will be a member of our fantastic Youth Band.'
