Foden's Band was formed in 1902 as part of the Foden's Motor Works.
The band have been based in Sandbach, Cheshire since its formation and are the current 'Number 1 ranked Brass Band in the World'

On Sunday 19th October a team of tutors from Foden's had the pleasure of visiting Lions Youth Brass to assist with their preparations for this year's Youth 'Brass in Concert Championships' in Gateshead to be held on the 16th November Mark Wilkinson, Melanie Whyle, Mark Bousie, Paul Hughes, Shaun Farrington and Mark Landon all enjoyed a great day working with and inspiring the next generation of brass players in Sandbach. All at Foden's wish them the very best for their ventures in the North East!

On Saturday 18th Foden's opened the 'Leeds Best of Brass Season' at Pudsey Civic Hall, Leeds The capacity audience were treated to an entertaining programme ranging from Mussorgsky’s classic ‘Baba Yaga & Great Gate of Kiev’ to music by Reverend & The Makers as well as a number of the bands World class soloists Further information on the series can be obtained via - https://www.leedsconcertseason.co.uk/theme/leeds-best-of-brass-bcdv

Ahead of their appearance at the National Finals, Foden's look forward to returning to the Regent Hall on 10 th October under the baton of Russell Gray and Michael Fowles. Fresh from their recent recording with Mike Lovatt, Foden's will reunite with Mike to perform tracks from his latest cd (to be released in 2026) as well as from his critically acclaimed '56 Degrees North' cd with Foden's. Mike's choices highlight his lyrical playing as well as fantastic range showing why he is in demand on blockbuster films such as Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day, Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the award winning Chicago, Beyond the Sea, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Madagascar and The Corpse Bride. Foden's will also feature music from their recent Malcolm Arnold CD, tracks from the pen of Goff Richards, Kenneth Downie and Tom Davoren as well as fantastic arrangements from former Musical Director Howard Snell. Theres also a hidden bonus from last years Brass in Concert set and a sneak preview of the Nationals Test Piece 'Symphony in two movements' by Edward Gregson.
