At Acceler8 Clinical Research (A8CR), we spend our days performing clinical studies that bring new medicines to market. We are a multidisciplined team od scientists, medics and statisticians. Working in the world’s second most regulated area after aerospace it's all very scientific clinical studies, regulatory pathways, mountains of paperwork, and the occasional breakthrough that changes lives. In fact, we specialise in products that do not take the traditional route to market and were involved in the journey that led to the European Union approving its very first gene therapy.

With offices in Australia, Canada, Singapore and the UK, we have been quietly getting on with improving healthcare around the world. We firmly believe that life is not just about protocols and patient recruitment. Sometimes it's about sport, music and occasionally shouting encouragement from the sidelines in the rain. That's why our sponsorship portfolio is wonderfully eclectic. You'll find our logo proudly displayed at St Johnstone FC in Perth and the Crewe FC Under-14 Girls team. We help keep the music playing by sponsoring The Brass Experiment on Northwich Radio, support the future stars of Knutsford Rugby Juniors and Friends of Staffordshire's Young Musicians, and are delighted to back Steve Harrison as he represents Wales at the World Transplant Football Cup. We have also commissioned works from brass band composers like Paul Lovatt-Cooper and have recently commissioned a new work for brass band by this year’s winner of the instrumental composer’s award at Staffordshire Young Musician

Brass bands have always held a special place in our hearts. Over the years we've helped the Weston Band from Ontario travel to the North American Brass Band Association Championships in Grand Rapids and supported the National Youth Brass Band of New Zealand on its Australian tour. We like to think we're as comfortable discussing cornets and euphoniums as we are discussing clinical endpoints and regulatory submissions, although only one of those conversations usually involves a standing ovation.

Closer to home, we're also proud long-term supporters of our local news publication because strong communities deserve strong local voices. Whether it's advancing medical science, backing tomorrow's sporting and musical talent we're passionate about investing in people. After all, discovering the next life-changing treatment is important but so is making sure that there are musical and sporting opportunities which can so impact on peoples mental health.
